1 tube (8 oz.) refrigerated crescent rolls
1 medium Granny Smith apple, peeled
16 Red Hots candies
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup melted butter
1 tsp. vanilla extract
6 Tbsp. citrus soda
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
Unroll crescents and separate into 8 triangles. Cut apple into 8 wedges. Place an apple wedge and 2 Red Hots onto each crescent triangle. Bring up corners of dough to center; pinch edges to seal. Place into an 8 inch square baking dish. Combine sugar, butter, and vanilla and spoon over rolls. Pour soda slowly around rolls. Do not stir! Sprinkle with spice. Bake, uncovered at 350° for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
Note: I often use cinnamon if I don't have pumpkin pie spice on hand. This is so good you won't be able to put it down!
